The Marylebone Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice, London W1.
Welcome to our website.
Experiencing difficulties and challenges is part of our life. We can sometimes work our problems out on our own, sometimes with help from friends. Although such mechanisms are useful in gaining self-insight, there are times when outside help from counselling or psychotherapy can be extremely helpful.
It is impossible to provide a complete list of the concerns that are brought to us, but some examples might be:
-
Relationship problems, family difficulties, bereavements, sexual difficulties, health problems.
-
Concerns about sexuality, eating disorders, emotional, physical or sexual abuse, issues surrounding self-harm and suicide.
-
Workplace problems, harassment and bullying at work, career difficulties, financial concerns.
-
Depression, panic attacks, anxiety, post-traumatic stress.
The Marylebone Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice is located in Central London, W1 near Harley Street and just off Marylebone High Street.
If you are considering starting therapy and you live or work in London then our well qualified and experienced practitioners are ready to think with you about your needs.
You may already know what approach you are looking for. You may be confused about the various possibilities available and need some help in deciding what might be the most appropriate for you.
We can talk about the options – we offer brief, focused counselling, longer-term, open-ended counselling or psychotherapy, we run analytic groups and provide CAT (cognitive analytic therapy) both for individuals and groups. We work with individuals and with couples.
At the Marylebone Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice we have many years of collective experience in a wide variety of approaches. We are always ready to discuss the options available to you, to answer your questions and we do not assume that we can help everyone.
After an initial assessment session you may choose to continue to work with the person you have met. Alternatively it may be suggested that you work with another practice member whose skills may be more appropriate for you. This will be arranged in consultation with the practice.
